What We're Looking For The Broadband Engineering Consultant will support multiple broadband consulting engagements for public-sector clients, primarily state and local governments. This role combines technical expertise in broadband networks with strong analytical, communication, and project coordination skills. Responsibilities include reviewing, validating, and evaluating broadband network designs and related supporting data and documentation, as well as supporting field validation activities to assess technical accuracy, compliance, and alignment with program requirements. The ideal candidate brings professional telecommunications and hands-on experience deploying fiber (FTTH, GPON/XGS-PON) and/or fixed wireless networks; a working knowledge of PON architectures and DOCSIS environments; strong understanding of wireless networks and technologies; and familiarity with real-world network deployment and operations. The candidate should be comfortable interpreting technical documentation and broadband-related data, evaluating network assumptions, and translating complex telecommunications concepts into clear, client-ready analyses and deliverables.
