Myositis HIT Solutions Account Director will lead the myositis HIT strategic approach and customer engagement with identified leading health systems, academic medical centers, and specialty infusion pharmacy partners. Working with these customers to help harness their Electronic Health Record (EHR)/Computer-Based Patient Record (CPR) to improve awareness, recognition, diagnosis, and management of patients with dermatomyositis (DM) and polymyositis (PM) within aligned areas that Pfizer Key Account Management engages. Myositis is commonly recognized late and frequently misattributed to other conditions, and the patients are often already visible in the customer’s own data before a diagnosis is made. A substantial portion of this role is therefore focused on disease awareness and the diagnostic pathway: educating customers on workflow approaches to use the laboratory, serologic, and clinical data to surface suspected patients earlier, standardize how those patients are evaluated and documented, and route them to the appropriate specialist. Examples include helping customers understand the value of optimizing their clinical and pharmacy workflow within these therapeutic areas while leveraging EHR and CPR technologies to support earlier disease recognition and population health management. HIT Solutions Account Director provides strategic insights for leveraging e-platforms to facilitate the evolution of care from a reactive episodic based care model to a predictive and proactive management of chronic illness across the care continuum. Relevant functionalities for disease awareness and diagnosis include clinical decision support consistent with evidence-based guidelines (e.g., alerts, hard edits, screeners, and order sets), cohort identification and registry logic applied to existing laboratory, serologic, and diagnostic data, standardized diagnostic and autoantibody order sets, structured documentation of cutaneous and musculoskeletal findings and extramuscular involvement (e.g., flowsheets and structured forms), referral pathway routing and service line coordination, clinician education delivered in workflow, and measurement/reporting tools that make time to diagnosis and referral visible. Relevant functionalities for ongoing management include standing orders/protocol orders, patient outreach and education (e.g., patient portals and reminders), bi-directional data sharing, and — in the specialty infusion pharmacy setting — patient registries and case-finding rules, disease state-specific assessment documentation, outreach task and worklist design, medication access and benefits workflow including electronic prior authorization, and adherence.
