Configuration Management & Deployment ● Develop, standardise, and manage infrastructure playbooks, roles, and automation workflows using Ansible and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (Automation Controller / AAP). ● Oversee end-to-end on-premises infrastructure deployments, hybrid cloud integrations, and migration strategies. ● Manage structured configuration datasets using YAML, XML, JSON, and environment- specific parameters across disparate platforms. Scripting & Tooling ● Write production-grade, maintainable scripts and tooling primarily in Python, supported by extensive Bash and legacy/specialized Perl scripting for automation, integration, and operational tasks. ● Maintain, refactor, and modernize legacy automation scripts (Perl/Bash) into modern Python and Ansible-driven solutions. Operating Systems & System Administration ● Provide deep technical expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration, kernel tuning, security hardening, storage configuration, and troubleshooting. ● Ensure platform security standards, compliance auditing, and system updates are automated seamlessly across large server fleets. Technical Leadership & Collaboration ● Serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex platform, deployment, and infrastructure issues. ● Lead and assist project teams through architectural design reviews, technical planning, and task execution. ● Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in automation best practices, clean code/scripting standards, and modern platform engineering principles.
